01Data we collect
Fallin Freddy has no account creation, no sign-in of its own, no email capture, and no player profile. The game never asks for your name, email address, or location, and we do not run a server that stores anything about you.
Your settings and how you play stay on your device. We do not receive them. The one exception is the optional Game Center leaderboard on iOS: if you are signed in to Game Center, your scores are sent to Apple (see section 6).
The game is free and supported by ads. To show them, the iOS and Android apps use Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service. AdMob collects some device information when ads are loaded and shown. Section 4 explains exactly what.
02Motion & orientation
If you choose Tilt as your control scheme, the game reads your device's motion and orientation sensors to steer Freddy left and right.
You don't need to grant this permission to play. Choosing Drag in Options - or using arrow keys on a desktop browser - steers Freddy without it.
03On-device settings
The game remembers a small set of preferences locally on your device only: your chosen control scheme, Freddy's color, your theme (day or night), and your best fall distance.
The game does not send these settings to us or to anyone else, and deleting the app deletes them. Your best score also stays on your device unless you use Game Center, in which case it is submitted to Apple (see section 6). The ad service keeps its own identifiers and settings separately, as described in section 4.
04Ads & Google AdMob
The iOS and Android apps use Google AdMob to show ads. When an ad is requested, shown, or tapped, AdMob and Google may collect the following from your device:
- Advertising ID - your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Android Advertising ID on Android), where it is available and permitted.
- IP address, and the approximate location that can be worked out from it. The game does not ask for your precise location.
- Device and app information - such as device model, operating system and version, language, screen size, network type, and the app name and version.
- Ad interactions - which ads were shown, tapped, or skipped, and for how long.
- Diagnostics - crash and performance data related to the ad service.
Google uses this information to choose and show ads, which can be personalised to interests it infers across apps and websites, to measure ad performance, and to detect fraud and abuse. Google handles it under its own policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
We do not give AdMob your scores, Game Center details, settings, or motion data, and we do not receive your advertising ID or any profile of you from Google. We see only summary reports, such as how many ads were shown and in which countries.
AdMob is used in the mobile apps only. The browser version of the game does not use AdMob.
05Your ad choices
You can limit or turn off personalised ads at any time:
- In the game: where a consent choice applies, you can review or change it from the privacy options in the game's Options screen.
- On iPhone and iPad: in Settings, go to Privacy & Security, then Tracking, to stop apps asking to track you. Under Privacy & Security, then Apple Advertising, you can switch off personalised ads.
- On Android: in Settings, find your Google ads settings (usually under Privacy or Google, then Ads) to delete your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation. The exact path varies by device.
- Across Google: manage ad personalisation in your Google Ad Settings.
- Industry tools: in the U.S., you can opt out through the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative.
Opting out of personalised ads does not remove ads from the game. It means the ads you see are not based on your interests.
06Game Center leaderboards
On iOS, Fallin Freddy supports Apple's Game Center leaderboards. Game Center is optional, and the game plays fully without it. If you are not signed in to Game Center, nothing in this section applies to you.
If you are signed in, the game sends your scores to Apple so they can appear on the leaderboard. Game Center is provided and run by Apple. It handles your Game Center ID, alias, and scores under Apple's Privacy Policy and its Game Center terms.
You can control Game Center in your iPhone or iPad Settings, including signing out or changing who can see your profile and activity. To have your leaderboard data changed or removed, contact Apple through your Game Center settings. Google Play does not offer Game Center.
07App Store & Google Play
You download and install Fallin Freddy through the Apple App Store (and, once available, Google Play). Those platforms handle your purchase, download, and device information under their own privacy policies, separately from anything the game itself does.
- Apple's practices are described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
- Google's practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Fallin Freddy's App Store "privacy nutrition label" and Google Play "Data safety" section disclose the data practices described in this policy.
08Children's privacy
Fallin Freddy is a general-audience game. It is not designed for or aimed at children, although children may play it. There is no chat, no account, and no way for any player to submit personal information through the game.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the higher age that applies in your country (for example, 16 in some European countries). Ads in the game are set up for a general audience, and we limit the ad content that can appear. Where we know a player is under the applicable age, we treat them as a child: ads are not personalised, and their advertising ID is not used for tracking.
Game Center is optional. Children's Apple accounts are managed by their parents or guardians, and Apple limits some Game Center features for them. Leaderboards show a player's alias and score to other players, so parents may want to check what a child's alias reveals.
Parents and guardians can also use device controls, such as Apple Screen Time and Family Sharing or Google Family Link, to restrict tracking, ad personalisation, and Game Center features. If you believe a child has been shown personalised ads or that we hold information about a child, contact us and we will look into it promptly.
09Your rights
Laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) give you rights over personal data held about you, including access, correction, deletion, and portability.
- From us: we do not keep any player profile or account, so we hold no personal data about you that we could look up, correct, or delete.
- From Google: advertising data collected through AdMob is handled by Google under its own privacy policy. You can see and manage it through your Google account's data and privacy controls and the ad choices in section 5.
- From Apple (Game Center): your Game Center ID, alias, and leaderboard scores are held by Apple. To access, correct, or delete them, use your Apple account's data and privacy tools.
- Consent: where we rely on your consent for personalised ads, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing does not affect anything done before.
- California and similar U.S. states: we do not sell your data for money. Sharing an advertising ID with an ad service for personalised ads may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under some state laws. You can opt out using the choices in section 5, and we will not treat you differently for doing so.
- Complaints: if you are in the EEA or UK, you can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
For any question or request about your information, reach out using the contact details below.
10Security
We run no server that holds player data, so there is no Fallin Freddy player database to breach. Data handled by AdMob is protected by Google's security systems, and Game Center data is protected by Apple's. The settings stored on your device are protected by your device's operating system and app sandboxing.
11Changes to this policy
If we change how Fallin Freddy handles information, such as adding a new service, this page will be updated first, the "Effective" date at the top will change, and the update will describe what changed and why. Versions of the game released before ads were added collected no data.
